Superstar (rating 1400+)
These players represent Australia at International events. We've even had one (U12) World Champion!

Junior Master (target rating = age x 100 + 100)
Only a handful of players reach this level.

Elite (target rating = age x 100)
A good target if you want to be one of the best players in the State for your age. Training Squad is for you.

Developing Player (rating 400-800)
This is when you usually start playing in tournaments. The RJ Shield is a good starting ground.

Novice (rating 0-400)
All Grandmasters and World Champions started here. You need lessons so you form good habits and friends to play with. Join a Chess Club!
